Last updated: 16 April 2026

What the service does

You upload a file, it is converted on the server, and you download the result. Processing is automated. Your files are not used to build a marketing profile or sold.

What data is processed

  • Files you upload and the converted output. These sit on the server only long enough to scan, convert, and deliver the download.
  • Technical data. For example your IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention, plus ordinary server logs where needed to operate and secure the service.
  • Analytics. If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, PostHog may process event data as described in the Cookie Policy.

How long files are kept

Uploaded files and outputs are removed from the server within one hour of upload, or sooner once the download has been served, whichever comes first. The aim is not to keep copies beyond what is needed to run the tool.

Processors

PostHog may act as a processor for analytics if you consent. Hosting and email providers you choose for deployment may also process data on infrastructure you control or contract for.

Legal bases

  • Legitimate interests. Operating the converter, security, malware scanning, and rate limiting, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent. Where you opt in to analytics (PostHog).

Transfers outside the UK

If a provider processes data outside the UK, appropriate safeguards are used where required, such as the UK IDTA or addendum, adequacy regulations, or standard contractual clauses, depending on the provider and how you configure it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have data erased in certain cases
  • Restrict processing in certain cases
  • Data portability where the law allows
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent for analytics at any time

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 and Blaize Studios does not knowingly collect data from them.
